YouTube Tuesday: Julie Miller.

On Loan from Its Tiger Time

Share your favorite Video Every Tuesday. Be Creative, and have fun. The video can be about anything.

But watch out for big bad Sony copyright infringement gods...bad people...when we're only trying to spread enjoyment of music that they may ultimately purchase. And to Mr Sony God -  I have already purchased this on CD!
How could I not?
Julie Miller and Broken Things is a must have classic.

Leave your link in my comments section so I can drop by and see your choice.

One of my favourite singers in a live performance.
Julie Miller with husband Buddy.
Yes, you may spot Emmylou Harris in the front row there.

Broken Things: many people will know the heartache.

Awwwh Jim, that is beautiful. I had a hard time with some of the lyrics so I went and looked them up. I'm sharing here so hope that is okay :)

You can have my heart
Though it isn't new
It's been used and broken
And only comes in blue
It's been down a long road
And it got dirty on the way
If I give it to you will you make it clean
And wash the shame away

You can have my heart
If you don't mind broken things
You can have my life if you don't mind these tears
Well I heard that you make old things new
So I give these pieces all to you
If you want it you can have my heart

So beyond repair
Nothing I could do
I tried to fix it myself
But it was only worse when I got through
Then you walked into my darkness
And you speak words so sweet
And you hold me like a child
Till my frozen tears fall at your feet

Thanks Corinne ,Julie Miller was a well known Christian singer but extended her style into Popular Country and now you'll find her singing with Buddy Miller, Emmylou Harris, Gillian Welch and similar. As a singer/songwriter she's tops in her field.

Hi Anna, glad you listed the lyrics, simple but beautiful.

Nelieta, so true. I have had this bookmarked to publish for sometime. This life version seems to have more soul than my CD.

Glad you like it Mary. It's a powerful song.
