Welcome to another Travel Photo Thursday. Here's a crazy photo I snapped in Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam.
We have travelled to Vietnam twice now, and always remember the country as colorful, vibrant, bursting with frenetic energy, and a very welcoming people.
But on those hot humid days it pays to take a nap in the heat of the day. Or is this a photo of the cheapest air-conditioned hotel in Saigon?
Join in over at budgettravelerssandbox.com. Nancie and the rest of the Travel Photo Thursday addicts will be posting up interesting photos from around the world. Check them out! Always a great load of pictures to inspire you.

haha....great shot Jim. I have some wonderful and funny shots of my travels through Vietnam. My time there was too brief, and I really do want to go back at some point.
That is hilarious. At first I was like what is the big deal. There are moto bikers all over the place. Then I saw the platform. Great shot.
Hi Nancie, yes Vietnam is great for funny shots, particularly those that show so much piled up on a cycle or motorbike.
Hi Ted. Glad you looked twice...I mean that must be the cheapest accom in Saigon. Throw your pack aboard, kick one of those guys across and bunk in, just like any old backpackers dorm really.
very original shot. I will be in Vietnam for two months in February and March. Any advice?
Great photo :)
Fun photo. I've yet to make it to Vietnam - looks pretty laidback ;)
Ha ha! Great shot. I love what they're doing, just chilling out like it was normal ... and it prob is!
Always love seeing things like this when I travel.
That's too funny! I love how every single spot is taken :)
I'm heading to HCM in a couple of days -- I will let you know if they're still sleeping it off... :)
Huh? What's the deal with that? Is it common to see people napping on a platform like that? Actually a very cool photo, Jim!
It surely does look like the cheapest a/c hotel in HCMC :)
I, too, had to look twice. Hmm. What's so different about that scaf-- ohhh.
:-)

Excellent street photography!! Love the people sleeping on the scaffolding. Makes for a great and funny image!!
Nice shot! For some reason I feel like pushing the scaffolding slowly down the street. Those wheels are there for a reason, you know? :P
Oh wow! If I ever get to accompany my bosses, I'll be able to see Ho Chi Minh too. We'll be relaunching our journal there this November.
The apartment looks like the ones we also have here in my country.
It would be great to visit this place :)
