A pic of the Spice Bazaar or also known as Egyptian Bazaar. This is an exciting place for the senses. Delve into the colours and heady smells of spices in the long narrow L shaped building in the Eminönü district of Istanbul.
Istanbul has fascinated us on our 3 trips there, with many more palaces, mosques and places of interest left to explore to entice us back. Probably the city we love the best.
And yes, I'll be stocking up on the Viagra nougat next time!
Over at budgettravelerssandbox.com Nancie and the rest of the Travel Photo Thursday addicts will be posting up interesting photos from around the world. Check them out!

So this is where those people who send me emails get their V-supply. Thanks for the tip, Jim. :)
That's about all you'll get sent from all those scam emails AJ.
Funny, if one doesn't read this first :P like I did...
It's a nougat...geez :P
God help me...never thought something like this existed..
The grand bazaar is such a wonderful place for...photography. Funnily enough, the incredible amount of shops and things on sale had the opposite effect on me...I just couldn't buy anything because there was too much choice!
Hi Denise, yes the Grand Bazaar is so huge and choice is mindblowing. But the Spice Bazaar is the second biggest covered bazaar after the Grand.
Wow the colors and I can almost smell the spices...Beautiful. Great post Viagra nougat and all.
I love Turkey, the Bazaar's and Markets. I love all the flavoured teas, haven't tried the viagra yet, maybe in a few years. But normally your posts are very authentic, so where are all the hand bag stalls, clothes stalls, shoe stalls, oh god the memories, the pain!
Hahaha. Viagra nougat. Cute. I'm sure you don't NEED any, but there's no harm in taking it for fun. :)
I got to go to Istanbul in 1997, though somehow I don't think we went to the spice market. We did go to a bazaar to shop, but I can't remember the name at the moment and don't remember seeing anything as awesome looking as your photo! :)
Beautiful shots Jim. I loved the spice market in Cairo.
Cool pics! Would love to experience Istanbul someday. Viagra -- really?
This is a feast for the senses! I could just imagine the smell of the spices, now I'm craving for curries :) and oh is there any other place I can get that V-nougat?
My cousin from UK just went there last month and she seemed to have enjoyed the city. The products in that bazaar look eccentric to me but enticing.
Almost smell the spices way over here !
Beautiful photos, I loved the spice bazaar and Istanbul in general!
I would have a ball taking photos there :) Great shots Jim..I think I will skip the viagra :)
