This moment- – A Friday ritual. A single photo – no words – capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember.

Hi Jim, what bird is this? Beautiful photo. Just to let you know: I've tried numerous times to vote for you to win the Ireland trip, but have not once been able to get past the word verification - or whatever you call those crazy words no one can generally read. Anyway, I hope you win. You, of all people, deserve the trip. Still rooting for you. Debra
Debra, a photo of a song thrush. I often confuse them with a female blackbird but I think the song thrush breast spots are more clearly defined. Yeah, that word verification...you just have to click on the wiggly arrows on the adjacent right until something pops up that you can recognise. Thanks for trying.
Hi SJ, yers, the thrush has broken the snail out of it's shell and having lunch, as we were eating ours. This bird was 10 feet away from us, making a hell of a mess on the patio breaking out all those snails...but we just watch , keep the dog away, and enjoy.

It looks like a tiny bird or is that the angle?
Nice one
Lovely moment, I find the birds are so hard to capture. What is that on the path, is it a snail?
Here's mine, this week's moment is my view from the office I was working in by lake Geneva, Switzerland http://almostthere.biz/2011/01/this-moment-9/
This one made me smile. Thank you.
