This moment – A Friday ritual. A single photo – no words June 24th

This Moment- A Friday ritual.
A photo – no words – capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment you want to pause, savour and remember. “This Moment” is a ritual found on Life inspired by the Wee Man which I then kidnapped from Almost there by Sarah-Jane.

And borrowed often from whomsoever is carting it around. But a great idea and credit to the originators.
My Moment is a favourite photo dedicated this week to all my Indian blogging friends, and travellers who have enjoyed travelling India as much as we did.

Now guess where this was taken? Easy eh?

BTW You see that wee 'Share/submit' gadget just below, well hit it, spread the love and help save elephant babies in Africa please!

Ah Jim - the backwaters of Kerala? Or is that the Zuari at Goa? Thank you :)

Correct Corinne. Nice eh? It really sums up Kerala backwaters for me. I waited for the guy in the boat to sail past us and took the shot just when I could have the palm trees framing the view with him in the boat. Often think of that day...so enjoyable. Would love to go back. So after our Kerala discussions I thought I should put it up.
Hi Mike. Yeah thanks. I like it. Taken in 2004 on an old Sony 3 megapixel digital.
Hi Melissa. Thought you'd like it.
Now all you Indiaphiles better post up some cool pics of India for Your Moment!

Looks ike a peaceful place to be on that boat...(or watching it from ashore). I'd love to be where that guy is for a moment...with those beautiful exotic trees lining the shore and water surrounding you in solitude. I would love to be in that boat right now! Great moment :)

I love this photo Jim. If you took the bridge out of the background time could almost be lost in this photo! Simple and beautiful! Nice shot!

Wow so many comments. You're right Jewell. Without the bridge in the background there would be a timelessness, but on the other hand , with it there it tells us that even in this modern age, there are some very quiet, natural places we can get away to.
